You sometimes send me very personal documents: a birth certificate, a family record book, a driving licence. This page explains what I do with them, and what I don't.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Mosko Masev, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel), trading as Flash Translation 12 Traverse des Migauds, 13011 Marseille, France contact@flash-translation.com · +33 7 44 18 99 30

I work alone, so I'm the one who receives and handles your requests.

2. No cookies, no analytics

This site uses no cookies and no audience measurement tools. Fonts are hosted on the site's own server. No video, map or social media widget is embedded, so your browsing isn't passed on to any third-party service.

3. What I receive through the quote form

  • What you type in: name, email address, phone (optional), service, document type, package, language pair, volume (pages or words), urgent option and your message.
  • Files you attach (optional): up to 5 files. They may contain identity or civil-status data (name, date and place of birth, parentage, marital status, document number…). Some documents can also reveal more sensitive information, such as a medical certificate. I use them only for the translation you asked for.
  • One technical item: to stop abuse, the form keeps a fingerprint of your IP address, computed with a secret key (a keyed hash). The address itself can't be recovered from it. The fingerprint is deleted after one hour at most. A hidden field and the time the form was displayed also help filter out bots. They contain no data about you.

If the documents concern other people (your child, your spouse…), make sure you're entitled to send them to me.

4. Why, and on what legal basis

What I doLegal basis (GDPR)
Answer your request and prepare a quoteSteps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Process attached documents that may contain identity or civil-status dataYour explicit consent, given with the second checkbox on the form (Art. 6(1)(a) and, for any sensitive data, Art. 9(2)(a))
Carry out and deliver the translation or service you orderedPerformance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Invoicing and bookkeepingLegal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c))
Protect the form against abuse and keep the site secureLegitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f))

You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to me. I'll then delete the documents concerned. Without them, I can't prepare the quote or do the translation. Withdrawing doesn't affect anything done before.

I don't use your data for marketing, I don't sell it, and I don't make automated decisions about you.

5. How your request travels

When you submit the form, your request and files are sent to me by email. The files are deleted from the website's server as soon as the sending is processed. They aren't kept there. You get an automatic confirmation email at the address you entered.

After that, we exchange by email (quote, files, delivery). For a sworn translation, the signed originals are sent to you by post.

6. Who else has access

Nobody but me reads your documents. Some technical providers do process data so that the service works:

  • the website host (see the legal notice), which keeps technical logs (IP address, date, page requested) for a limited period, for server security;
  • my email provider, which carries and stores emails;
  • La Poste or the courier chosen, to send originals (name and delivery address only);
  • public authorities, where the law requires it (for example a tax audit).

I don't pass the translation of your documents to another translator without your written agreement.

7. Where your data is

8. How long I keep it

  • Quote request that didn't lead to an order: 12 months after our last exchange, then deleted (messages and files).
  • Documents from an order (source documents, translations): 12 months after delivery, so I can issue another copy or handle a complaint. You can ask me to delete them sooner.
  • Invoices and accounting records: 10 years, as required by the French Commercial Code.
  • IP fingerprint from the form: one hour at most.

9. Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Files don't stay on the web server. I keep working documents on password-protected devices, and I never put confidential documents into public AI tools.

10. Your rights

At any time, you can:

  • access your data and get a copy;
  • have it corrected;
  • have it erased, unless the law requires me to keep it (invoices);
  • ask me to restrict its processing;
  • object to processing based on my legitimate interest;
  • get the data you gave me in a common format (portability);
  • withdraw your consent;
  • give instructions on what happens to your data after your death.

Write to me at contact@flash-translation.com or at 12 Traverse des Migauds, 13011 Marseille, France. I reply within one month. If I have reasonable doubts about your identity, I may ask you to confirm it.

If you're not satisfied with my answer, you can complain to the French data protection authority: CNIL (Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France · www.cnil.fr

If you live in another EU country, you can also contact your own country's data protection authority (in Bulgaria: Комисия за защита на личните данни, www.cpdp.bg).
