Websites & marketing
A site that reads as if it was written locally, in Bulgarian or in French
Word-for-word marketing copy gives itself away at once, and the reader leaves. I adapt the tone, phrasing, formats and keywords so a French, Bulgarian or English page sounds right to the person reading it.

Поръчай днес – доставяме до вратата ти! Безплатна доставка за поръчки над 50 €.
Commande aujourd’hui – nous livrons jusqu’à ta porte ! Livraison gratuite pour les commandes au-dessus de 50 €.
Commandez aujourd’hui, on vous livre à domicile. Livraison offerte dès 50 € d’achat.
(Both mean roughly “Order today, we deliver to your door. Free delivery on orders over €50.” Only one sounds like a French shop.)
What changed
- Bulgarian online shops often address customers informally. Most French shops use the formal “vous”.
- “Jusqu’à ta porte” is a calque of the Bulgarian. In French, you deliver “à domicile”.
- “Livraison offerte dès 50 € d’achat” is the wording French shoppers are used to seeing. They take it in without really reading it.
The small print counts too
Buttons, error messages, automatic emails: they’re what people read first.
What I adapt, beyond the sentences
Register: formal or informal, serious or relaxed, to suit your brand and your market.
Formats: dates, times, addresses, phone numbers, quotation marks (« » in French, „ “ in Bulgarian).
Length: French often takes more room than English. I check that your buttons and headings still fit.
Keywords: I look at what people actually type in the target language, not a literal translation of your keywords. I suggest them, you sign them off.
Delivered in your site’s format
Two-column spreadsheet, Word document, XLIFF or PO file, translation JSON: I work in whatever format your tool can import. Tags, variables and links stay intact. Title tags and meta descriptions are translated with everything else, length limits included.
Estimate the turnaround
2–4 working days
Counted from the moment I have legible files and your go-ahead on the quote.
For a signed original, add postal time for tracked post. The PDF arrives first.
Urgent (+40%): 24 to 48 working hours for a short document, only if my schedule allows. I confirm it before you commit, never after.
Usual ranges, not guarantees. Working days: Monday to Friday, excluding French public holidays.
