Proofreading
I read the translation on its own, the way your reader will. Typos, grammar, clumsy phrasing, consistent terminology. Useful when you trust the meaning and want clean copy.
Bilingual editing
I compare every sentence with the original. Mistranslations, omissions, figures, names, technical terms. That’s what you need for a contract, a manual, or any text where a mistake costs money.
What I catch
- Mistranslations, even subtle ones
- Sentences that went missing
- Figures, dates and amounts that don’t match the original
- False friends. In Bulgarian, “фамилия” means “surname”, not “family”. In French, “éventuellement” means “possibly”, not “eventually”.
- Proper names spelled three different ways in the same document

Tell me in your request. I look at a sample before quoting. If the text is too far off, I’ll say so plainly: retranslating sometimes costs less than heavy editing.
